A Model for Regional Energy Utilization by Offline Heat Transport System and Distributed Energy Systems—Case Study in a Smart Community, Japan
Under the Kyoto Protocol, Japan was supposed to reduce six percent of the green house gas (GHG) emission in 2012. However, until the year 2010, the statistics suggested that the GHG emission increased 4.2%. What is more challenge is, after Fukushima crisis, without the nuclear energy, Japan may produce about 15 percent more GHG emissions than 1990 in this fiscal year. It still has to struggle t...

This paper presents environment friendly refrigerant R290 as a solution to the environmental concerns like depletion of ozone layer and rise in global warming because of wide use of synthetic refrigerants R22 and R134a. The water cooler is the widely used refrigeration application in warm climatic countries. Refrigerant R22 and R134a are predominantly used refrigerants in water cooler refrigera...
متن کاملDetermination of Dosimetric Parameters of the Second Model of Pd-103 Seed Manufactured at Agricultural, Medical and Industrial Research School
Introduction: The use of low energy isotopes such as 103 Pd in brachytherapy for the treatment of cancers such as prostate, eye, head, neck, breast and cervix is increasing. In this regard, different models of Pd- 103 seeds have been designed and manufactured at the Agricultural, Medical and Industrial Research School (AMIRS) of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran. In this resear...
متن کاملData Trimming, Nuclear Emissions, and Climate Change
Ethics requires good science. Many scientists, government leaders, and industry representatives support tripling of global-nuclear-energy capacity on the grounds that nuclear fission is "carbon free" and "releases no greenhouse gases." However, such claims are scientifically questionable (and thus likely to lead to ethically questionable energy choices) for at least 3 reasons. (i) They rely on ...
متن کاملModelling the Implications of the Kyoto Protocol for a Developing Country
This paper deals with the simulation of the implications for the economy of Colombia of the Kyoto Protocol on reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. The Protocol proposes three flexibility instruments for reaching at a lower global cost the reduction targets: the Clean Development Mechanism and Joint Implementation that would permit developing and developed countries to co-operate on a project ...
متن کاملThe Kyoto Protocol Carbon Bubble: Implications for Russia, Ukraine and Emission Trading
The emission targets adopted in the Kyoto Protocol far exceed the likely level of emissions from Russia and Ukraine. These countries could sell their “bubbles” if the Protocol enters into force and industrialized countries establish an international emission trading system. Using the most recent, comprehensive scenarios for emissions of carbon dioxide from the energy system we estimate that dur...
